ข้อมูลเรียนต่อปริญญาตรี ข้อมูลเรียนต่อปริญญาโท
สวัสดีครับ กลับมาเจอพี่คิดอีกครั้งใน University Review ซึ่งมาถึง Episode 6 กันแล้ว หลังจากที่ Episode 5 เราพากันไปชม University of Essex มากันอย่างจุใจแล้ว ใน Episode 6 นี้ พี่จะพาไปชม University of Glasgow ที่ตั้งอยู่ที่เมือง Glasgow ประเทศสกอตแลนด์ ซึ่งเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีความเก่าแก่อันดับต้นๆ ของประเทศเลย
เดินทางมาที่ University of Glasgow International College ตั้งอยู่ที่ Anderson College 56 Dumbarton Road โดยมาจอดรถที่หน้าอาคาร UNITE STUDENTS และเดินไปที่ College เพียง 2 นาที ตัวอาคารของ Anderson College นี้จะเป็นธีมของ University of Glasgow หรือก็คือเป็นตึกสไตล์ปราสาทแบบคลาสสิค แต่ภายในอาคารจะมีการตกแต่งให้มีความเป็นโมเดิร์นในระดับนึง
เข้ามาข้างในจะเจอ Reception มีเจ้าหน้าที่คอยต้อนรับและให้ความช่วยเหลือในเรื่องต่างๆ
จอตรงนี้จะเป็นตารางประกาศกิจกรรมของแต่ละสัปดาห์
มี Floor Plan บอกชัดเจน
Anderson College จะมีทั้งหมด 7 ชั้น โดยแบ่งเป็นดังนี้
- ชั้น 1 เป็นห้องเรียน
- ชั้น 2 เป็นห้องเรียน และ College Services
- ชั้น 3 เป็นห้องเรียน รวมถึงมี IT Lab และ Staff Offices
- ชั้น 4 ไม่ได้ใช้งาน
- ชั้น 5-7 จะมีทั้งห้องเรียน และ Staff Offices คละกัน
จาก Anderson College เดินมาประมาณ 2 นาทีก็จะถึง South Gate ของ University of Glasgow เดินเข้ามาจากประตู South Gate เล็กน้อย ทางด้านซ้ายก็จะเป็น Park ขนาดใหญ่ เดินตามทางมาจะเป็นเนินเสมือนขึ้นเขา ก็จะเจอ College คณะต่างๆ เช่น College of Medical Veterinary & Life Science, College of Science & Engineering โดยรวม campus ค่อนข้างกว้างขวางพอสมควร จุดเด่นของ University of Glasgow คืออาคารเรียนส่วนใหญ่ จะเป็นรูปแบบปราสาทสวยงามมาก

เดินผ่านทางเข้ามาแล้ว
ทางขวามือก็จะเป็นสวนขนาดใหญ่
จากทางเข้า South Gate เดินตามทางเข้ามาจะมีลักษณะเป็นเนินเขา
ขึ้นมาข้างบนเนินก็จะเจอ University of Glasgow Cloister ซึ่งชั้นล่างของตึกจะเป็นต้นแบบของฉากในภาพยนตร์ชื่อดังอย่าง Harry Potter ใครเป็นแฟนหนังเรื่องนี้ ต้องห้ามพลาดเลย

ส่วนนี้เองที่เป็นต้นแบบของฉากในภาพยนตร์ Harry Potter
ภาพบรรยากาศในอาคาร มีความหรูหราและเก่าแก่มาก
เดินถัดมาจากตัวอาคารหน่อยจะเจอกับสวนขนาดกลาง ซึ่งมีความเชื่อที่ว่า หากนักเรียนคนไหนที่มาเดินลัดสวนนี้ในขณะที่ยังเรียนอยู่ จะทำให้เรียนไม่จบนะครับ จะเห็นได้ว่านักเรียนที่เรียนจบการศึกษาแล้วจะมาถ่ายรูปที่สวนนี้กันเป็นจำนวนมากเลย บริเวณเดียวกันก็จะมี University Chapel ซึ่งโบสถ์นี้นักเรียนที่เรียนจบการศึกษาจาก University of Glasgow สามารถมาจัดการแต่งได้ฟรีเลย แต่คนนอกเสียค่าใช้จ่ายนะ

อาคารด้านซ้ายคือ University Chapel
นอกจากนี้ในมหาวิทยาลัยยังมีร้าน Gift Shop สำหรับซื้อของที่ระลึกจาก University of Glasgow อีกด้วย มีสินค้าให้เลือกมากมายไม่ว่าจะเป็น เสื้อผ้า ผ้าพันคอ แก้วน้ำ ร่ม พวกกุญแจ และอื่นๆ ให้เลือกสรร
บรรยากาศภายใน Gift Shop ของ University of Glasglow
ตรงนี้เป็นบริเวณ Main Gate ของมหาวิทยาลัยฝั่ง Adam Smith Business School จะสังเกตได้ว่าที่ประตูรั้วจะทำให้เป็นชื่อบุคคลสำคัญต่างๆ ที่เคยเป็นศิษย์เก่าและสร้างชื่อเสียงให้กับ University of Glasgow
เนื่องจาก University of Glasgow เป็น City Campus อาคารอื่นๆ ก็จะสามารถเดินได้ในระยะเพียง 2-5 นาที ไม่ว่าจะเป็น University Library หรือ อาคาร James McCune Smith Learning Hub ที่เป็นศูนย์การเรียนรู้ สำหรับนักเรียนมานั่งอ่านหนังสือ ทำ Assignment หรือทำ Group Discussion กับเพื่อนๆ ได้่เช่นกัน
จากประตูทางเข้าข้างบน เดินข้ามถนน University Ave มาอีกฝั่ง แล้วเดินไปทาง Oakfield Ave ประมาณ 3 นาทีก็จะเจอกับ School of Engineering ของมหาวิทยาลัย ซึ่งอาคาร Engineering นี้มีทั้งหมด 11 ชั้นเลย ที่เราเห็นจากภายนอกเหมือนจะมีแค่ 6 ชั้น แต่จริงๆ แล้วมีชั้นใต้ดินลงไปอีกถึง 5 ชั้นเลย และติดๆ กันก็จะเป็น Sport Centre ซึ่งนักเรียนจะเข้าได้ต้องมี Membership ด้วยนะครับ
เดินผ่าน University Ave จะเจอ Wellington Church
อาคาร School of Engineering ตั้งอยู่บนถนน Oakfield Ave
ทางเข้า School of Engineering
ทางเข้า Sport Centre ที่อยู่ข้างๆ อาคาร Engineering เลย
จากอาคาร Sport Centre เดินไปทางถนน Gibson Street เล็กน้อยแล้วเข้าซอยผ่านมาที่ถนน Southpark Ave จะเจอกับอาคาร Fraser Building ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์ให้ความช่วยเหลือกับนักเรียน และคอย support ในเกือบทุกเรื่องให้กับนักเรียนเลย พร้อมมีห้อง consult แบบ private จัดเตรียมให้อย่างเพรียบพร้อมมากเลย เรียกได้ว่า ไม่ว่านักเรียนจะมีปัญหาอะไร ทางเจ้าหน้าที่มหาวิทยาลัยก็พร้อมจะให้ความช่วยเหลืออย่างเต็มที่อย่างแน่นอน

เดินทะลุประตูหลังจาก Fraser Building ก็จะเจออาคาร Library ขนาดใหญ่ของ University of Glasgow เลย
เดินจากอาคาร Library มาทางถนน Hillhead Street และเลี้ยวขวามาตรงถนน University Ave เช่นเดิม เดินต่อมาเพียงเล็กน้อยก็จะเจออาคาร James McCune Smith Learning Hub ที่เป็นศูนย์การเรียนรู้ สำหรับนักเรียนมานั่งอ่านหนังสือ ทำ Assignment หรือทำ Group Discussion กับเพื่อนๆ ได้เช่นกัน

และนี่ก็คือภาพบรรยากาศโดยรวมของ University of Glasgow มหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำติดอันดับ 81 ของโลกโดย QS World University Rankings สำหรับปี 2023 มหาวิทยาลัยมีความโดดเด่นในงานวิจัย และโดดเด่นในสาขาวิชา Accounting & Finance มาก ที่สำคัญคือ มหาวิทยาลัยมีหลักสูตร Pre-masters สำหรับนักเรียนที่มีผลการเรียนเฉลี่ยในระดับปริญญาตรีที่ 2.30 ขึ้นไปด้วย สามารถมาเรียนปรับพื้นฐานวิชาการและภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อเตรียมพร้อมก่อนเข้าเรียนได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ พี่หวังว่าน้องๆ จะชื่นชอบบรรยากาศโดยรวมของที่นี่กันนะครับ สำหรับในครั้งหน้าพี่จะมารีวิวมหาวิทยาลัยที่ไหน อย่าลืมมาติดตามกันต่อนะครับ
