ที่ตั้ง: ตั้งอยู่ที่เมือง York ทางตอนเหนือของ London

สนามบินที่สะดวกในการเดินทาง: สนามบินนานาชาติเมืองแมนเชสเตอร์ หลังจากนั้นนั่งรถต่อไปยังเมือง York ใช้เวลาประมาณ 1.5 ชั่วโมง

University of York ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1963 เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยประเภท Plate Glass University หรือก็คือมหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศอังกฤษอังกฤษที่ก่อตั้งขึ้นในยุค 60 และยังเป็น 1 ใน 24 สมาชิกของ Russell Group ซึ่งเป็นกลุ่มมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำด้านการวิจัยในประเทศสหราชอาณาจักร มหาวิทยาลัย York ถือว่าเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีชื่อเสียงมากเช่น ติดอันดับ 1 ใน 10 ของประเทศอังกฤษ 1 ใน 20 ของยุโรปและติดอันดับ Top 100 ของโลก ทางด้านชื่อเสียงของตัวมหาลัย ซึ่งจัดโดย QS World University Rankings ในปัจจุบันมหาวิทยาลัยได้มีการแบ่งการเรียนการสอนออกเป็นระบบวิทยาลัยซึ่งมีทั้งหมด 9 แห่ง ซึ่งมีบริการหอพักและสาขาวิชาต่าง ๆ ปัจจุบันมีนักศึกษากว่า 16,000 คน นอกจากนี้มหาวิทยาลัยยังเคยชนะรางวัล University of the Year จาก Times Higher Education และ Sunday Times รมทั้งยังเคยได้รางวัล Queen’s Anniversary Prize ในด้านงานวิจัยทางโบราณคดี วิทยาศาสตร์คอมพิวเตอร์และเศรษฐศาสตร์อีกด้วย

เกณฑ์การรับสมัครระดับปริญญาโท

• จบปริญญาตรีเกรดเฉลี่ยสะสม GPA 2.50 ขึ้นไป
• 6.5, minimum 6.5 in Writing and 6.0 in all other components

กรณีที่ผลคะแนนสอบ IELTS ไม่ถึง สามารถเรียนคอร์สภาษาอังกฤษเพิ่มเติม กับทางมหาวิทยาลัยได้ ดังนี้

Pre-sessional courses สำหรับผู้สมัครที่ยังไม่ผ่านเกณฑ์ภาษา 2023/2024

Pre-sessional English Language with Study Skills (PELSS) programme เป็นโปรแกรมการฝึกอบรมแบบบูรณาการในภาษาอังกฤษเชิงวิชาการและทักษะการเรียนเพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมสำหรับการเข้าศึกษาต่อระดับปริญญาตรีและปริญญาโทของมหาวิทยาลัย มีให้เรียน 6, 12 และ 16 สัปดาห์ซึ่งเป็นการปรับปรุงคะแนน IELTS ให้เทียบเท่ากับ 0.5, 1.0 และ 1.5 ตามลำดับ และ 4 สัปดาห์สำหรับนักศึกษาที่ได้รับการตอบรับจากทางมหาวิทยาลัยแบบไม่มีเงื่อนไขแล้ว

โปรแกรม Pre-Masters ที่ University of York เป็นหลักสูตรสำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติ รวมถึงนักศึกษาไทยที่ต้องการเรียนต่อระดับปริญญาโทที่ประเทศอังกฤษ แต่ได้เกรดเฉลี่ยไม่ตรงตามหลักเกณฑ์การรับสมัครที่ทาง University of York กำหนด ซึ่ง Pre-Masters Programme จะเหมาะสำหรับนักศึกษาที่ต้องการปรับพื้นฐานทางด้านวิชาการและภาษาอังกฤษ และยังเหมาะสำหรับนักศึกษาที่ต้องการจะเปลี่ยนสายการเรียนอีกด้วย
