University of Greenwich เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยของอังกฤษที่ก่อตั้งมาอย่างยาวนานตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 1890 อยู่ติดกับแม่น้ำเทมส์ อดีตเคยเป็นพระราชวังและฐานทัพเรือที่เต็มไปด้วยประวัติศาสตร์อันยาวนาน มีทัศนียภาพที่สวยงามและยังมีท่าเรือให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้ชมความงามของแม่น้ำเทมส์ที่เป็นแม่น้ำสายหลักของลอนดอน และยังเป็นจุดกำเนิดของเวลาโลก (GMT) อีกด้วย Greenwich เป็นเมืองที่ถูกจัดอันดับให้เป็นสถานที่ที่สวยที่สุดในลอนดอน เป็นที่ที่เป็นโลเคชั่นถ่ายหนังหลายๆเรื่อง

International Year Zero หรือ International Foundation Year 

โปรแกรม International Year Zero หรือ International Foundation Year ที่ University of Greenwich เป็นหลักสูตรสำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติ รวมถึงนักศึกษาไทยที่ต้องการเรียนต่อระดับปริญญาตรีที่ประเทศอังกฤษ เนื่องจากการศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษาของประเทศไทยใช้เวลาเรียนน้อยกว่าประเทศ อังกฤษ 1 ปี นักศึกษาไทยจึงถูกกำหนดให้ต้องเรียนหลักสูตร International Year Zero 1 ปีก่อนเพื่อปรับความรู้  เมื่อเรียนโปรแกรม International Year Zero จบก็จะสามารถต่อระดับปริญญาตรีอีก 3 ปี

หลักเกณฑ์ในการรับสมัคร

• จบมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 GPA 2.50 หรือ มัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 GPA 2.00
• IELTS 5.5 or equivalent, with no single element less than 5.5

โปรแกรม International Year One ที่ University of Greenwich เป็นหลักสูตรสำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติ รวมถึงนักศึกษาไทยที่ต้องการเรียนต่อระดับปริญญาตรีที่ประเทศอังกฤษ ซึ่งเทียบเท่ากับปริญญาตรีปี 1 เมื่อเรียนจบแล้วจะเข้าปี 2 ของมหาวิทยาลัยต่อไป เหมาะสำหรับนักเรียนที่มีผลการเรียนดีในระดับมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6
