Undergraduate Foundation Programme – Life Science for Medical Pathway Sri Lanka
Students who successfully complete the Undergraduate Foundation Programme will have the option to apply for the Sri Lanka Medical Pathway at the University of Aberdeen.
There are up to 15 places available for the best students meeting minimum requirements during the Undergraduate Foundation Programme.
Progression is competitively awarded and is dependent on achieving:
- English: 70% (equivalent of IELTS 7.0 with minimum 7.0 in speaking)
- Academic: minimum CGS B (equivalent 68% overall), with at least four modules at a minimum of CGS A (82%)
- Performance in the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT)
- Undertaking an interview assessing attributes and aptitudes appropriate to medicine
- Undertake appropriate work experience and submission of an Academic Reference from the ISC Life Sciences Lead.
Students who are not successful in progressing to medicine at this time will have the option of moving to a degree from the Life Sciences pathway (depending on their grades).
