เนื่องจากการออกจากการเป็นสมาชิกของ EU หรือ BREXIT ของกลุ่มประเทศสหราชอาณาจักร ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วย ประเทศอังกฤษ ประเทศสกอตแลนด์ ประเทศเวลส์และประเทศไอร์แลนด์เหนือ (ต่อไปนี้ขอเรียกรวมว่าประเทศอังกฤษ) ทำให้ประชาชนจากกลุ่มประเทศ EU ไม่ได้มีสิทธิและสวัสดิการในเรื่องต่างๆ ในประเทศอังกฤษมากเหมือนในสมัยก่อน เช่น การจ่ายค่าเรียนเท่านักเรียน UK หรือสิทธิ์การจ้างงาน เกิดเป็นผลกระทบทำให้นักเรียนจากประเทศ EU มีจำนวนน้อยลงรวมถึงแรงงานด้วย จึงเป็นเหตุที่ทำให้ขณะนี้เอง ประเทศอังกฤษได้ออกนโยบายเปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียนต่างชาติที่เป็น Skilled Worker รวมถึงนักเรียนจากประเทศไทย ที่ไปเรียนในระดับปริญญาตรี ปริญญาโท และปริญญาเอก ได้มีสิทธิ์ในการขอวีซ่าแบบใหม่ เรียกว่า Graduate route visa เพื่ออยู่ต่อได้อีกถึง 2-3 ปี และใช้ช่วงเวลานี้ในการหางานทำที่ประเทศอังกฤษ และหากได้รับการจ้างงานหลังจากนี้ ก็มีสิทธิ์ขอเป็นพลเมืองของประเทศอังกฤษได้ โดยวีซ่าแบบใหม่นี้จะให้สิทธิ์กับนักเรียนที่เรียนจบตั้งแต่เดือนกรกฏาคม 2021 นี้เป็นต้นไป นอกจากนี้ทางรัฐบาลอังกฤษยังมีแผนจะออกวีซ่าแบบใหม่ให้กับ start-ups และ fast-growing firms สำหรับคนที่ต้องการทำธุรกิจที่ประเทศอังกฤษในอนาคตอีกด้วย
เส้นทางที่ง่ายที่สุดสำหรับโอกาสที่จะหางานต่อทีประเทศอังกฤษ คือ การเรียนหลักสูตรปริญญาโทที่ใช้เวลาในการเรียนเพียง 1 ปีเท่านั้น เป็นการลงทุนที่เร็วที่สุดและใช้งบประมาณค่าใช้จ่ายที่น้อยที่สุด เมื่อเทียบกับประเทศหรือหลักสูตรอื่นๆ
