รีวิวการสอบ Pearson Test สำหรับใช้เพื่อการสมัครเรียนต่อต่างประเทศ
สวัสดีค่ะน้องๆ กลับมาพบกับพี่หนิงอีกแล้วนะคะ วันนี้พี่หนิงจะมารีวิวการไปสอบ PTE หรือ Pearson Test of English ซึ่งเพิ่งผ่านไปหมาดๆ นี่เอง มันคืออะไร สอบอย่างไร ต้องเตรียมตัวอย่างไรบ้าง แล้วเราต้องสอบไหม พี่หนิงมาไขข้องใจให้แล้วค่ะ
Pearson Test of English คือ การสอบวัดระดับภาษาอังกฤษ เพื่อนำผลสอบมายื่นสมัครเรียนต่อต่างประเทศหรือเพื่อการย้ายถิ่นฐาน โดยแบ่งเป็น PTE Academic และ PTE Home สำหรับนักเรียนที่ต้องการไปเรียนต่อต้องสอบตัวที่เป็น Academic นะคะ โดยมีแบ่งแยกย่อยอีกเป็น PTE Academic และ PTE Academic UKVI สำหรับคนที่ต้องการสมัครเรียนต่อในสหราชอาณาจักร

การสอบแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ส่วนใหญ่ๆ คือ Speaking and Writing, Reading และก็ Listening ค่ะ โดยในแต่ละส่วนก็จะมีโจทย์ให้ทำไม่เหมือนกัน เช่น ในส่วน Speaking and Writing จะมีข้อความมาให้ แล้วให้เราพูดตาม เพื่อดูการออกเสียงของเราว่าพูดได้ถูกต้องไหม ส่วน Reading จะมีให้เติมคำ (ส่วนตัวคิดว่าพาร์ทนี้ง่ายสุดเลย) ส่วนใน Listening ก็จะมีคนพูดแล้วให้เราเลือกคำตอบที่ดีที่สุดจากตัวเลือกทั้งหมด เป็นต้น

หลังจากที่ทำส่วน 1-2 เสร็จ จะมีให้พักเบรค 10 นาทีก่อนทำส่วนสุดท้ายค่ะ ใช้เวลาในการสอบทั้ง 3 ส่วน 180 นาที แต่ถ้าทำเสร็จเร็วก็ออกก่อนได้เลย
สำหรับการสอบ PTE ในประเทศไทย สามารถสอบได้ที่อาคาร BB Building ที่อโศกค่ะ สามารถเดินทางโดยรถส่วนตัว หรือขนส่งสาธารณะก็ได้ BTS (สถานีอโศก), MRT (สถานีสุขุมวิท) แล้วต่อรถมอเตอร์ไซต์รับจ้างเข้าไปไม่เกิน 20 บาทค่ะ หรือถ้าขับรถไป สามารถจอดที่ตึกได้เลย โดยจะเสียค่าจอดชั่วโมงละ 40 บาท แต่ถ้ามีแสตมป์ของทางศูนย์สอบ จะได้ลด 50% ค่ะ (พี่หนิงโดนไป 60 บาท T^T)
การสมัครสอบทำได้ง่ายมากๆ โดยเข้าไปที่เว็บไซต์ https://pearsonpte.com/
- เลือกประเทศที่เราต้องการใช้ผลสอบไปยื่นและจุดประสงค์ในการสอบ
- เลือกประเภทของข้อสอบ
- เลือกสถานที่สอบเป็น Thailand และเลือกวันสอบค่ะ (ตอนนี้จะมีให้สอบเฉพาะวันเสาร์และวันพุธบางสัปดาห์)
- หลังจากกด Book ระบบจะให้สร้าง Account และจ่ายเงินค่าสอบผ่านการตัดบัตรเครดิต
- เลือกประเภท ID ของเรา แนะนำให้ใช้ Passport ค่ะ
- เมื่อชำระเงินเรียบร้อย เราจะได้รับใบเสร็จและสามารถเข้าไปทำ Sample Test ได้ฟรีค่ะ
- วันสอบ เราจะเริ่มสอบตั้งแต่ 8 โมงเช้าค่ะ ควรไปถึงศูนย์สอบอย่างน้อย 30 นาทีก่อนสอบ เพราะเราต้องลงทะเบียน เช็คเอกสาร สแกนฝ่ามือ เก็บของ ก่อนเข้าห้องสอบก็จะมี Security check อีกที ซึ่งค่อนข้างใช้เวลาค่ะ

ตอนก่อนสอบรู้สึกตื่นเต้นมากเพราะไม่คุ้นเคยกับการสอบแบบ PTE มาก่อน เนื่องจากส่วนใหญ่น้องๆ ที่ไปเรียนต่างประเทศก็จะสอบแค่ IELTS หรือ TOEFL กัน แล้วก็มีการติวสอบกันอย่างแพร่หลาย ครั้งนี้เป็นครั้งแรกที่ได้สอบข้อสอบอื่นบ้างซึ่งเราไม่คุ้นชินกับ Test Format ของเค้า แนะนำว่าก่อนไปสอบควรฝึกทำตัวอย่างข้อสอบเยอะๆ เพราะโจทย์จริงๆ ที่เค้าถามไม่ได้ยากหรือแหวกแนวมากค่ะ เป็นบทสนทนาธรรมดาหรือเลคเชอร์มหาวิทยาลัย ซีรี่ย์ฝรั่งบางเรื่องยังฟังยากกว่ามาก
แต่ตอนที่อยู่ในห้องสอบกลับไม่ตื่นเต้นเลย เพราะเราสอบกับคอม แล้วก็มีเราเป็นผู้สอบแค่คนเดียว เลยผ่อนคลายมากๆ แม้ว่าบางข้อจะทำได้บ้างไม่ได้บ้าง มีหลุดบ้าง แนะนำว่าวันสอบให้หาอะไรรองท้องไปก่อน แล้วก็เข้าห้องน้ำให้เรียบร้อยนะคะ
สรุปเลยว่า PTE ข้อสอบจะง่ายกว่า IELTS และ TOEFL ค่ะ ถ้าน้องๆ ชอบสอบอะไรที่มันไม่วุ่นวาย คนไม่เยอะ แล้วก็สมัครได้ง่ายๆ แนะนำให้มาสอบ PTE กันนะคะ ตอบโจทย์มากๆ ที่สำคัญ ถ้าสมัครสอบผ่านพี่ๆ EFL จะได้ส่วนลดค่าสอบ 10% ค่ะ ^^
