มหาวิทยาลัยบอร์นมัธ ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี 1970 ตั้งอยู่ ณ เมืองบอร์นมัธ (Bournemouth) บอร์นมัธ ได้ชื่อว่ามีชายหาดที่สวยที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งในประเทศอังกฤษโดยมีความยาวกว่า 22 กิโลเมตร ถือได้ว่าเป็นเมืองตากอากาศที่ขึ้นชื่อแห่งหนึ่งในยุโรป มีสภาพอากาศที่ดี ในปีหนึ่งจะมีนักท่องเที่ยวเดินทางมาเมืองนี้ไม่ต่ำกว่าปีละ 5ล้านคน สถานที่ท่องเที่ยวสำคัญคือ Bournemouth Oceanarium หรือเมืองใต้ทะเล นอกจากหาดทรายสีทองยาว และน้ำทะเลส่องประกายระยิบระยับ บอร์นมัธ ยังมีร้านค้า ภัตตาคาร และที่พักสำหรับวันหยุดให้เลือกมากมาย

International Foundation Year
โปรแกรม International Foundation Year ที่ Bournemouth University เป็นหลักสูตรสำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติ รวมถึงนักศึกษาไทยที่ต้องการเรียนต่อระดับปริญญาตรีที่ประเทศอังกฤษ เนื่องจากการศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษาของประเทศไทยใช้เวลาเรียนน้อยกว่าประเทศ อังกฤษ 1 ปี นักศึกษาไทยจึงถูกกำหนดให้ต้องเรียนหลักสูตร Foundation 1 ปีก่อนเพื่อปรับความรู้ ทั้งนี้ไม่ได้ทำให้เสียเวลาเรียนแต่อย่างใด เพราะ มหาวิทยาลัยของอังกฤษใช้เวลาเรียนในระดับปริญญาตรีเพียง 3 ปีเท่านั้น
หลักเกณฑ์ในการรับสมัคร
- จบมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ด้วยเกรดเฉลี่ยสะสม GPA 3.00
- จบมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ด้วยเกรดเฉลี่ยสะสม GPA 2.00
- IELTS 5.5 (at least 4.5 in all skills)
