    International Foundation Year

    โปรแกรม International Foundation Year ที่ University of Sheffield เป็นหลักสูตรสำหรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติ รวมถึงนักศึกษาไทยที่ต้องการเรียนต่อระดับปริญญาตรีที่ประเทศอังกฤษ เนื่องจากการศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษาของประเทศไทยใช้เวลาเรียนน้อยกว่าประเทศ อังกฤษ 1 ปี นักศึกษาไทยจึงถูกกำหนดให้ต้องเรียนหลักสูตร Foundation 1 ปีก่อนเพื่อปรับความรู้  ทั้งนี้ไม่ได้ทำให้เสียเวลาเรียนแต่อย่างใด เพราะ มหาวิทยาลัยของอังกฤษใช้เวลาเรียนในระดับปริญญาตรีเพียง 3 ปีเท่านั้น

     

    หลักเกณฑ์ในการรับสมัคร

    • จบมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ด้วยเกรดเฉลี่ยสะสม GPA 2.50
    • จบมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ด้วยเกรดเฉลี่ยสะสม GPA 2.00
    • โปรแกรม 3 เทอม – IELTS for UKVI 5.0 with minimum 5.0 in writing (minimum of 4.0 in other skills)
    • โปรแกรม 3 เทอมสำหรับ Dentistry – IELTS for UKVI 6.5 (with no lower than 5.0 in all skills)
    • โปรแกรม 2 เทอม – IELTS for UKVI 6.0 (minimum 5.0 in all skills)

    ตั้งอยู่ในใจกลางเมืองใกล้กับวิทยาเขตหลักและอยู่ติดกับวิทยาลัยนานาชาติ St Vincent’s Place บริหารจัดการโดยมหาวิทยาลัย โดยรวมโบสถ์ที่ได้รับการปรับปรุงใหม่อย่างสวยงามเข้ามาด้วย ปัจจุบันโบสถ์แห่งนี้เป็นสถานที่พบปะสังสรรค์โดยมีคาเฟ่ ห้องชมภาพยนตร์ เกมและห้องครัวส่วนกลาง นอกจากนี้ยังมี Residence Life Mentor ที่จะช่วยให้นักเรียนใช้ชีวิตในสหราชอาณาจักรผ่านกิจกรรมทางสังคมที่จัดขึ้นและการช่วยเหลือนักเรียน
